CANCELLED  Richard Wiley “Hippie” Woods, age 66, of Gulfport, MS died Thursday, August 26, 2021 in Gulfport, MS. He was born March 12, 1955 and was a lifelong resident of the coast. Richard retired in 2019. Prior to retirement, he was a welding foreman and commercial truck driver. After retirement, he enjoyed his antique vehicles, fishing, working outdoors, traveling, and spending time with his family and friends. Richard was preceded in death by his parents, Wiley and Felicia Malley Woods, along with nine sisters. He is survived by his wife Sharon Woods; sons, Chade (Cassie) Woods, Dexter (Kelly) Woods, and Bradley Saucier; daughter, Tamara (Jason) Pearson; sisters, Barbara Jackson and Linda Clark; along with several grandchildren and many cousins, nieces and nephews. Visitation will be Saturday, September 4, 2021 from 3:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. at Bradford-O’Keefe Funeral Home, 15452 O’Neal Road, Gulfport, MS 39503, with a service beginning at 4:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, Richard’s wishes are for donations to be made to Sharon Woods.
