This is an open invitation to all car & motorcycle clubs, civic organizations and church groups to inform the public of their planed events taking place during the 2018 season. All car/truck & motorcycle event related topics open for discussion by everyone. You can help prepare a calendar of events, advertise your show, discuss any new problems you may have encountered with your particular event. Exchange club roster, and list of officers, and share any information as well as ideas and suggestions on events and shows on the Mississippi Gulf Coast. Each club is asked to send at least one representative, but as many as you want to send are welcome... Out of state clubs are also welcome to participate. January 20 Gulfport, MS This event is to celebrate, Arthur Overstreet's 85th birthday! We are trying to surprise him so hoping no one mentions this to him. I had a dream that all his friends started showing up with food for a surprise party so we are doing this like a family reunion where everyone brings a covered dish with your favorite recipe. We will provide the drinks and everything else. We plan to have an hour of good singing celebrating heritage, home and heaven while everyone eats followed by an hour of voting for car awards to be given out with numerous door prizes at 3:00 pm. The church has two parking lots so one will be blocked off for the custom cars with security for while we are eating. April 6-7 Natchez, MS NATCHEZ EURO FEST 2018 Classic European Auto & Motorcycle Show, combining European engineering and beauty with Southern hospitality, will be another most enjoyable automotive and motorcycle event in Natchez, Mississippi. This will be the third annual show and once again is expected to exceed all expectations. The venue of the lawn of Rosalie Mansion, and a group of outstanding expected participants will make for an exciting event on April 6-7. Autos from TN, MO, LA , AR, FL and MS will created a large and diverse field of entries. This free, fun, family event held on the bluffs of the Mississippi River will feature European music, bagpipers, strolling Southern Belles and many other features will be on hand. Once again all will be treated to the 6 plane air show put on by The Bulldog Formation Flying Team, performing their many smoke trailing formations. Awards will include Best In Class of 16 Different Classes, 7 Sponsor's Choice, and Best of Natchez Vintage and Nouveau. Additionally, the Mayor's Travel Awards will be presented for autos manufactured before 1994 and after 1993. The show gets started on Friday the 6th with two Natchez Rally Drives for entries, starting from Memphis, via Jackson down the Trace and the other starting from New Orleans via Covington and Baton. Rouge. These drives are always a feature with their "tops down" enjoyment. They will join in Natchez for an escorted drive to the Vue Hotel where the Friday night ' Welcome Reception' will be held from 5:00-7:00. The reception, show on Saturday, well stocked with drinks Saturday Hospitality Tent, and Saturday night cocktail party from 5:00-7:00 will all; be free. There is no entry fee. We will have a poker run through St Martin Parish ending at the beautiful Longfellow Park were we will be serving our registered guest lunch! Friday night will be our 10th Anniversary Celebration Event held at the Ramada Ballroom. All registered cruisers are invited for a great meal and entertainment. Saturday Registration is open until noon. All cruisers will drive over to Sugar Mill Pond in Youngsville. We will have our second poker run in and around Youngsville. There will be lots of activities during the day including shopping, crafts, local homemade goods and a Jam session. If you play and instrument or like to sing you are welcomed to join in. There is an 8 acre pond, boardwalk, gazebo, restaurants and retail stores within the development. Lots to do and see. A long awaited talked about sequel has finally arrived. This year we hope to have 8 rat rods, 8 photographers and 12 models. Anyone under the age of 18 must have a legal guardian present, all models will be required to sign a model release. Because 5 rivers will be posting information about the event, and any photographs we send them afterwards. A pre-signed model release also helps because we are currently in negotiation with a local race magazine to publish photographs taken at this event. Please keep in mind even though rat rods are the fantastically perfect automobile to wear anything from mad Max to evening gowns with pinup in between, members of the public may be enjoying the park for the day and some of our models may be under the age of 18 appropriate attire will be mandatory. Five rivers will not be charging us to host the event but a $10 donation, to the women’s shelter of Mobile will hold and guarantee your spot for that day. With over 500 cars, trucks, rods and dragsters, this show is the largest show and cruise in Mississippi. Attendance is expected to exceed 20,000 guests and spectators over the two day event. The net proceeds of this charity event will benefit the Mississippi SIDS Foundation and Hope Hollow Ministries ranch for the disabled. Each club is asked to send at least one representative, but as many as you want to send are welcome. Lunch will be in the meeting room. April 6-7 Natchez, MS NATCHEZ EURO FEST 2018 Classic European Auto & Motorcycle Show, combining European engineering and beauty with Southern hospitality, will be another most enjoyable automotive and motorcycle event in Natchez, Mississippi. This will be the third annual show and once again is expected to exceed all expectations. The venue of the lawn of Rosalie Mansion, and a group of outstanding expected participants will make for an exciting event on April 6-7. Autos from TN, MO, LA , AR, FL and MS will created a large and diverse field of entries. This free, fun, family event held on the bluffs of the Mississippi River will feature European music, bagpipers, strolling Southern Belles and many other features will be on hand. Once again all will be treated to the 6 plane air show put on by The Bulldog Formation Flying Team, performing their many smoke trailing formations. Awards will include Best In Class of 16 Different Classes, 7 Sponsor's Choice, and Best of Natchez Vintage and Nouveau. Additionally, the Mayor's Travel Awards will be presented for autos manufactured before 1994 and after 1993. The show gets started on Friday the 6th with two Natchez Rally Drives for entries, starting from Memphis, via Jackson down the Trace and the other starting from New Orleans via Covington and Baton. Rouge. These drives are always a feature with their "tops down" enjoyment. A long awaited talked about sequel has finally arrived. This year we hope to have 8 rat rods, 8 photographers and 12 models. Anyone under the age of 18 must have a legal guardian present, all models will be required to sign a model release. Because 5 rivers will be posting information about the event, and any photographs we send them afterwards. A pre-signed model release also helps because we are currently in negotiation with a local race magazine to publish photographs taken at this event. Please keep in mind even though rat rods are the fantastically perfect automobile to wear anything from mad Max to evening gowns with pinup in between, members of the public may be enjoying the park for the day and some of our models may be under the age of 18 appropriate attire will be mandatory. Five rivers will not be charging us to host the event but a $10 donation, to the women’s shelter of Mobile will hold and guarantee your spot for that day. With over 500 cars, trucks, rods and dragsters, this show is the largest show and cruise in Mississippi. Attendance is expected to exceed 20,000 guests and spectators over the two day event. The net proceeds of this charity event will benefit the Mississippi SIDS Foundation and Hope Hollow Ministries ranch for the disabled.
